LOSS OF INCOME=LOSS OF TRAVEL-UNHAPPY MAMA
So today I decided, enough is enough. I have not worked in years. I have no resume and I am 69, or like my sister says, almost 70! I also have these 4 ladies that do need me once in awhile.
I started looking for jobs and came across a local airline job. SO EXCITED! I immediately applied. I instantly got an email that said if I was a good candidate they would let me know. Then I got an email that said we want you to do a pre-interview. No problem. RIGHT! HA! It was quite a problem. I am pretty tech savvy, but have never done an interview like this. This interview was one sided with camera. How many of you look good on a front facing camera. Let me tell you, if you are my age, you need some serious age blocking hardware.
I start the interview. You can have as many practices as you want and as many do overs as you need, when you get to the live interview. I finally decided I was never going to look better or get better so I just went for it.
One question was about overcoming obstacles. I told them the biggest obstacle I have had to overcome recently, was trying to figure out where to look during the interview and to keep my eyes from roaming all over the place. I figured a little humor wouldn't hurt. It was pretty painful to go through I and don't think I ever want to do it again. But I will, if another airline job comes up.
I am pretty sure it will take an act of God to get me this job. But my God is pretty big!
